good initiative difficult taskA good start has been made on the initiative of Sanskar Bharti. But raising funds and then systematically taking them to the artists will be a huge task. Especially in our country, artists range from villages to cities. Most are unorganized. Their systematic accounting is meager. According to art critic Ajit Rai, there are about 20 million artists in India from villages to metros. The livelihood of many of them is dependent on performing arts. But in the last one and a half years, his condition has become very bad. Governments don’t care. Even for two years, artists have not received grants. The budget given to art academies and culture ministries. There is no account of how they were used during the Corona period. Why the grant is withheld is also a question. Whereas the big institutions that got the budget did not generate such work on-line for art workshops, artists and writers associated with their work, which would have helped them financially. It is hoped that from this earlier awareness of the artists will come from Sanskar Bharti. A new exercise will be started in the governments. At the time of such crises (Corona Pandemic), new schemes will emerge for the benefit of the artists.
